Yoga is the practice of Body & Mind - Yoga er styrketræning for krop og sind (with Danish guest blog post by male Yogi in Ribe)

In the coming week, I start 3 new Yoga classes in the local Fitness Center (Fitness World) and while the world of modern fitness centers may not have the most "yogic" ring to it, I find that the diversity of members in a gym is huge. It's for everyone. And so it the Yoga revolution: For everyone... Even MEN!

Below is a Danish article written by one of the few male Yogis in Ribe, Thomas Nielsen.

NAMASTE! THANK YOU FRIENDS & FAMILY: A Magical Summer & A Magical Season of Open-Air Gentle Flow Yoga with Shanti Yoga in Ribe, Denmark's Oldest Town... And it continues

I really had ambitions to blog more this summer. About lovely loyal Denmark, about the smaller & bigger trips we've been taking here, about my cute yoga-loving niece, about the awesome time at Roskilde Festival, about the yoga here. But here we are 3 months later and here's my first Denmark 2016 post...

Feeling a bit Down? Don't Worry Too Much - Here's why AND here's good tips on how to "deal with down

Feeling a bit Down? Don't Worry Too Much - Here's why AND here's good tips on how to "deal with down

In a black & white world you'll either have positive approach or a negative approach to feeling down. The key is to be aware of your approach and gradually change it to being more and more positive. It's a very powerful way of increasing your mental health and being in control of your own mood and to a certain extent: being in control of your own "downs"

Destination Bay of Islands: A Sailing Tour and a Visit to the Tranquil and Predator-free Urupukapuka Island

Destination Bay of Islands: A Sailing Tour and a Visit to the Tranquil and Predator-free Urupukapuka Island

With almost 150 islands, many of which are undeveloped there's truly a lot to explore in Bay of Island waters. Per local recommendations we took off from the Bay of Island mainland and started out with a visit to the biggest island of them all: Urupukapuka. Known as a tranquil, bird-full and predator-free island with enough tracks, bays and beaches to explore in more than one full day.

Rise & Shine in Mount Maunganui - Video Update

Check it out! Our first update for upcoming travel video series.

It's 16 days from winter in NZ but you wouldn't believe it here in the Mount on a beautiful sunny morning like today...

We've just entered our 2 last weeks in New Zealand and will soon be off to DENMARK AND EUROPE! We've had an amazing 6 months here touring around this beautiful country - check some of my blog posts from our travels in New Zealand here

The Pinnacles: Hiking Through the Ruggedly Magnificent Mountain Ranges in the Coromandel Peninsula

The Pinnacles: Hiking Through the Ruggedly Magnificent Mountain Ranges in the Coromandel Peninsula

Planning our last month here before we're heading to Europe one of the spots we really wanted to hit was The Pinnacles mountain range on the Coromandel Peninsula. A famous 1-2 days walk through beautifully rugged mountains and located just a couple of hours drive from our current home in Mount Maunganui. And as it's on the way to Auckland it was perfect to combine with last week's mission up there for a Shanghai-reunion event - a bit of calm before the storm, if you will...

Why Everyone Should Get Familiar With Traditional Chinese Medicine

Why Everyone Should Get Familiar With Traditional Chinese Medicine

I've had the opportunity to learn a lot about the basics of TCM right here in little old Shanghai. It has opened up a whole new world of understanding my body, health, balance, and food. Its worth learning a bit about TCM while you live in Shanghai (or anywhere actually) and learn some vital things about your body & health - knowledge which you can take with you when you leave Shanghai and to wherever life may lead you.

ॐ Shanti Habits Yoga in Mount Maunganui - Join My Flow With Friends Class Every Week

ॐ Shanti Habits Yoga in Mount Maunganui - Join My Flow With Friends Class Every Week

This week I started my first ॐ Shanti Habits Yoga get-together here in the Mount. My idea is to casually get friends and friends of friends together for some sunset yoga flow before it gets too cold for those amazing outdoor experiences. It's already a bit chilled so the yoga style is mostly active (yang) and of course calming (yin) towards the end. In this way we make sure our body & mind follow the natural cycle of the universe: day and sunlight is yang and active so we should feel and be active. Night and moon is yin so we should feel and stay calmer...

Beautiful Raglan - New Zealand's Endless Surf Paradise

Beautiful Raglan - New Zealand's Endless Surf Paradise

It's getting a tiny bit colder in NZ as autumn is approaching. It's so weird to be in April and talk about autumn weather & wind - April equals spring time & light time in my head of the Northern hemisphere... Fortunately there's still heaps of amazingly nice sunny days here in Bay of Plenty on the East Coast of New Zealand's North Island (the location of Mount Maunganui, Leon's childhood home). Same goes for Waikato & the King Country which is the neighboring region to the West and last week we decided to go on a mission. A mission to visit one of Leon's favorite surf spots in NZ and a mission to explore an area I haven't been to yet: Raglan and surrounding nature...
